Philadelphia County Inmate Scope

The schedule should be checked before travel because visits are first-come, first-served and must be booked ahead of time.
Visitors also need to plan for facility rules that do not appear in a court docket. PDP mail rules changed for personal mail beginning April 6, 2026. Personal mail goes to Philadelphia IPCS, PA, with the person's name and PPN, P.O. Box 247, Phoenix, MD 21131, and is scanned for electronic tablet delivery. Personal mail sent to PDP facilities after that date is returned. Legal and professional mail is different. It must be marked Legal Mail and sent directly to the person's facility with the name, PPN, facility name, and address.
Funds also have separate paths. Electronic deposits use Access Corrections for commissary and GettingOut for phone calls, video visits, tablets, and messages. Money orders and certified checks must be mailed directly to the facility with the person's ID number. Cash and personal checks are not accepted. Refund requests go to ViaPath Technologies at the address listed in the PDP funds instructions.
- Use plain white paper and a plain white envelope for personal letters.
- Do not send money, checks, or money orders to the scanning center.
- Photos must be 5 x 7 or smaller and must follow PDP content limits.
- Books, magazines, and newspapers must come directly from third-party sellers.
